Love, is it??

It was just the other day that I was reading Chetan Bhagat's new book "The Two States" and the ending has quite a nice speech(if I might call that)..I pondered over it and finally came to the conclusion that The concept of Love is definitely something which this modern society should move forward in...Not that it is lacking among set communities but the general ambience is what I intended it to mean..

The book essentially aims at painting the traditional sequence of events in case of an inter communal marriage...The parents usually disagree, fearing rejection and extradition from their respective communities..Yet in the end, the parents relent(atleast in the book, they do). The poignant moment is when the father of the Tamil Bride speaks at the reception to a mixed audience of Tamilians and Punjabis.

"Our children have learnt to love from us...and why do we reject their loved ones?? When given a chance to choose between love and hate, why do we have to choose hate? Why not take it and use it to love another human being? Let us develop new friends..never disregard a hand of friendship"

I guess this is the message which Chetan Bhagat wished to convey through the book..a truly delightful read..I guess my post only means that the author's intentions and hopes of spreading the message across are working!!:):)

Anyways, Now I shall leave you all to ponder over it...Until next time..
